Free background patterns for website
Today I’ve prepared another post from the free-design-resources series. You should find it very useful when creating your own website. I’ve already wrote about where to find good photos under Creative Commons License and about excellent quality free stock photos. Today I’ll write about background patterns.
Background patterns are very useful when you want to make your website more graphically interesting. Seamless patterns can be repeated both vertically and horizontally without visible connecting line. I know there are many places where you can go to find a lot of free and high quality patterns online. But for someone who’s not a tech savvy, it can be sometimes a bit overwhelming. Therefore I’ve prepared a nice little curated list.
A set of background patterns for both personal and commercial use, without attribution. You will find here both texture and abstract patterns. There are also entire packages containing one pattern in multiple color versions.
Subtile patterns presented in an adequately delicate way. A veritable mine of abstract patterns but you will also find there image based ones.
Very interesting project by Tim Holman and Claudio Guglieri. It contains a set of tiled patterns for use without restriction.
